Prince of Darkness is my favorite adventure of the entire line so far, mini-setting and adventure in one:Īgain, it's sketchy enough to grant any DM a few extra-hours preparing, but the setting is cool, the story is nice, and there are some very, very good ideas (the drunken prince, for example) that will give the party easy lols. Still, can't say it wasn't a nice read. It's a good starting point for building campaigns, frankly, a better one than "The Elven Crystals", IMO, but I doubt you will play this in a linear fashion, because of the sketchiness of the adventures. Sleeping Gods, for the interested crowd here, is an adventure path, or, well, what in the 80s was considered as such. You might consider to re-release that one as a PDF it's a good introduction for n00bs. The introductory book was a free-by for one of the RPG-celebration-days, but is actually pretty neat. I have since gotten myself Sleeping Gods, Prince of Darkness, and the Introductory Book.
